Deleting your data

Last updated: August 2026

You can delete what Skyhost holds at any time, without asking us. This page is the short version of how — the control that does it, where it lives, and what happens after you press it. If you would rather we did it for you, the last section is the address to write to.

01

Delete a property and everything in it

In the Skyhost console, open Settings, then Advanced, and use Delete property. It asks you to type the property's name first, because this is the one action here that cannot be taken back.

Deleting a property removes the guest conversations, messages, bookings, quotes, calendar, rates, house rules, and everything you taught Skyhost about the place.

You have 30 days to change your mind. During that window the property is hidden from the console but restorable, and the console shows how many days are left. After the window closes it is erased permanently and we cannot recover it — not from a backup, not on request.

02

Disconnect Facebook or Instagram

Open Integrations in the console and disconnect the Page. Skyhost immediately stops receiving new messages and can no longer read or reply to conversations on that Page.

You can also do this from Facebook's side, which works even if you cannot reach the console: go to Facebook Settings, then Business integrations, find Skyhost, and choose Remove. That revokes the access token Skyhost holds.

Disconnecting stops the flow of new data. It does not by itself delete the conversations Skyhost already stored — use the property deletion above, or write to us, for that.

03

Ask us to delete it instead

Email hello@tryskyhost.com from the address on your Skyhost account and tell us what you want removed — a single property, or the account and everything under it.

We will confirm the request, carry it out, and write back when it is done. We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days of confirming them.

04

What we keep, and why

A small amount of data outlives a deletion, and only where the law or an honest record requires it:

  • records of payments and invoices, which tax and accounting rules require us to retain;
  • security and audit logs recording that a deletion happened, which is how we can show it was carried out;
  • anything we are under a legal obligation to preserve, such as a pending dispute.

None of this is used to run the service or to rebuild what you deleted, and none of it is guest message content.
